Model of Road safety for Islamabad

Road accidents are one of the major causes of life lost across the globe according to the statistics of WHO every year more than 1.35 million people pass away and one Lac people get lifelong disability. In Pakistan this figure is approximately 35000 causalities per year and in Islamabad reported no of fatalities in road crashes is 2000. The Annul GDP loss is reported to 4%, this is the most alarming situation for a developing country like Pakistan. Islamabad being the capital of the country and house to ambassadors from all over the world. Seems more sensitive in this regard. Project GCF-744 optimum use of existing resources: A prototype Model of Road Safety in Islamabad is an effort to resolve this major issue, to save precious hum lives and to overcome the pressing traffic issues by using smart technologies. This project has been focusing nearly all major issues related to road safety in Islamabad.

Smart Journey Planning

The purpose of the Smart Journey Planner is to facilitate the Public in availing the bus service in a convenient way

Smart Licensing Model

The incorporation of smart driving license systems provides a reformed methodology to driver licensing, efficiency, enhanced security and accessibility.

Smart Parking

Smart Parking is an IoT and software technology-supported system that helps manage parking spaces efficiently. In this solution, parking management can configure valid parking spaces and add them to system records.

Our Aim

The issue of road safety stands as a critical concern globally, with its impact felt profoundly in Pakistan, where road traffic accidents pose a significant threat to public health and safety. In response to this pressing issue, the Government of Pakistan has undertaken a comprehensive road safety project initiative aimed at addressing the multifaceted challenges associated with transportation safety across the country.

This initiative represents a concerted effort by the government to enhance road safety measures, reduce the alarming rates of accidents, injuries, and fatalities on Pakistani roads, and ultimately improve the overall quality of life for citizens. Through strategic planning, resource allocation, and collaborative partnerships, the government aims to implement effective interventions that promote safer road behaviours, enforce traffic regulations, upgrade infrastructure, and enhance emergency response capabilities.
